Lindsey Edwards BVM BSc

Last saturday saw the 2013 Hare Seminar run again this year at Powestown Park.  Its always a exciting event as the hares are now being netting and the first meeting is a few short weeks away.

These seminars are going from strength to strength......and this years was attended by clubs far and wide with many new faces.  With the addition of Lindsey Edwards MVB BSc......a veterinary surgeon stationed in Abbeyferle, the seminar was the best yet.   Lindsey has spent many years overseeing Hare Husbandry at Lixnaw Coursing Club......and has a huge interest in all things Hares.
She should be the first port of call for any clubs wishing to gather information on Hare Husbandry and the place to go for help.

Lindseys talk was highly informative......based on a medical background her infor on Doses and medications was second to none and a Info sheet can be obtained from the ICC Offices.

I would like to add ,  Out of the meetings I attended last year the two that stood out above the rest  where of course Clonmel ,along with Lixlaw CC.......two meetings that took onboard all advice
from Lindsey Edwards MVB.

John Curtin went on to give his excellent demonstration on how to hold a hare......something all young coursing people should be shown
Everyone was given a chance to share information

After the Husbandry talk we were shown the excellent facilities  at Powerstown Park,
This is something that has been upgraded every year under the current executive and must be commended.
