CROHANE & KILLENAULE finals

ALL AGED STAKE

The firm ground took its toll on this stake.............However the final winner Wallace Chief  could not be faulted when asked to run.
Owned and trained by Brendon Matthews

A son of Multibet out of Carrick Candy from her first litter.............he won his Trial Stake at  Westmeath and was runner up in the TA Morris in Clonmel.........This was his first outing this year

Wallace Chief and Serene Digital

Handled by Adam Matthews

ALL AGE BITCHES

The quality of this stake would not be  bettered at Clonmel...........it was first class..........the final was between Kingsmill Bliss ....and Intervention. It was a great Buckle with Intervention just getting the better in the final stages.

By Matt Hyland out of Harbour View..........she is a sister to Windgap View and was bred by Declan Bryrne.
a winner of the Earl of Dunraven Stakes at the Irish Cup meeting............she put up a first class performance today

The whole meeting was well run with excellent hares.............its been a credit to all clubs this year as to the quality of hares..........indeed its becoming rare to see a hare flecked so far this season.

DERBY TRIAL STAKE

Tory Hill Blonde
I think this was a first class trial stake........certainly the dogs in the quarter finals all looked of a good standard and deserving of a ticket. ..............a 64 dog affair .........it was never going to be easy but the winner was faultless................and a very popular win as well as it went to local syndicate....Tory Hill Syn............well done to Daniel Monk....Daniels Dad.....Paul Reid.....Christy Jacob and Andrew Delahunty

bred in the purple he is by Bexhill Eoin out of Hollyhill Blonde............the dam of last years Derby winner  Kingsmill Dynamo............and when mated to Joannestown Cash produced Elwick Review....winner of the William Hill Gold Cup on the track.

OAKS TRIAL STAKE

There were some very well bred bitches on show in this stake..........some started out running very green but improved in leaps and bounds with the runs.....  Like the Derby as the stake went on we ended up with some very handy bitch pups.
The field is very much like Powerstown Park  so any winners here should enjoy Clonmel

The final was a contest between Bridewell Dysart and Beautiful Chrisy............Chrisy is a daughter of Ashmore View and Cudham Perfect.....who is also the dam of Carrolsoriental who ran so well in the Cup

Beautiful Chrisy owned and trained by Neil Herbert .......who lives in England and traveled over for the weekend.

Bridewell Dysart was always in control in the final and took the first turn by a length...........it was a well deserved victory as she was foot perfect in every round

Yet another winner for Ashmore View , who is making a excellent start to the season.  Dyserts dam , Tequila Lady .........is a daughter of Tequila Rose.........yet another produce of the Safety Leader line......from the same branch as Oaks winner Bridies Best. She is owned,  and bred by Micheal Quilter and trained by Lester Power.

LOCAL STAKES

The Walter Cahill Memorial is a 32 dog duffer............Congratulations here go to Ruari Dwan on the fine performance of homebred  Borna Lauryn...a daughter of Boherduff Light  x Killough Pearl..............who goes back to track Oaks winner Borna Best.

Borna Lauryn takes the turn

Ill just take a second here to thank our two lovely gatemen for there work over the three days................and to all gatemen everywhere............thankyou!!

Gatemen, the always smiling Seamus Maher and Christy English

And Finaly...............

WORKING MEMBERS

How nice it was to see the Members Stake go to one of coursings hardest workers.......weve all seen Aoife at Clonmel running the hares up to safety............and she was on duty again for the three days.  What some of you may not know is that the day before the meeting she took a hefty kick on the hip from a cow ......most of us would have watched the meeting on crutches! ............

So it was great to see Aoife and Martin Ryans bitch......Glenmorgan Lady take this stake for very deserving owners....................everyone involved with this lovely bitch was overjoyed.....well done

Winning connections joined by the working members.................

This was a super run meeting with yet again excellent hares................with a bit of rain to ease the ground it would have been perfect as the field is excellent with plenty of cover

Glenmorgan Lady

isnt she lovely!
