 A Joint meeting for the last time with Nenagh I understand that Nenagh now have their own field.

Quality hares at this meeting and it gave up three of the best days coursing it was possible to have..........good slipping with just the right amount of work for the dogs...........excellent judging.........in all a first class meeting Well Done!!

It was a frosty start to Finals day...........so coursing was put back.........even so things ran so well that coursing finnished on time

Lisloose Eoin is another by Bexhill Eoin..........out of Chubbys Og  Three so far from this litter,  have qualified............Mafi Magic and Shes a Dazzler..being the other two.   Lisloose Eoin could be a real contender by the way he ran through this stake

Floating Rain comes back to form to win this Cup.  I saw him run in Glin where he put up some excellent clocks before going out to eventual winner Bexhill Brian.   I know he then had his problems so its good to see him take this Cup for the  Mairead Horan

Windgap Beauty came out with alot of Kennel confidence behind her ,  she went out in the third round at New Ross after clocking well.   She does all her work from halfway getting stronger with each round.  Could be one to take to Powerstown Park.  Bred by trainer Declan Byrne out of his good brood Harbour View............Theres no shortage of decent runners from this line.........Intervention, Windgap View and litter brother Nama Man a runner up in a DTS at Urlingford..........are just a few.  And to add to this litter sister Honeycomb View came out and won very impressively at Dungarvan as well!

THE CUP
The Final was a battle between Dale Indecisive and Atlantic Boss, with Dale Indecisive taking the turn by a length.............both dogs had been in fine form all day

Im sure the Farrellys  are very proud of this lad as hes Dale bred through and through.............being by Dale Blue Boy out of  Two To Wonder,  owned by Orlaith Farrelly and  Michael Peart..........he won a TS last year at Old Killcullen.

This lady showed her liking for the hill against the older bitches but four runs in one day was a step to far and the tough Doctor Morrissey caught her near the top of the field.  Nina is by Ashmore View x Why Tanyard Jane.........a Grace Burton winner

The day however belonged to Doctor Morrissey..............she ran the  hill to perfection and could be a big player at Clonmel.........lets hope we get to see her there.  This is her second Stake..........she won at Kilsheelan.  Owened by Bryan Walsh shes by Court House out of Princess Grace...........and won a Trial Stake last year at Knockgraffon

Its been a good week for the Donovan Kennel picking up two Derby Trial stakes in 3 days!.....Even more so because Thomas is having his first year as trainer.......im told theres a couple of nice dogs to come out......youve been warned!

Its great to see young Slippers being given a chance this year...........

Its not easy to pick up engagements as clubs often use the same Slipper.............as is the case of Rathdowney where long time Slipper Shaun McCarthy retired this year

So we saw Alan Kelly, as full time slipper this year and a excellent job he made of it, with all the turns at the. top of the field.

 

Like most of our young slippers Alan was born into dogs and started slipping on the gallops at home..............hes progressed through the ranks of slipping Duffers to getting his full slippers licence

 

If you want to see Alan at work hes due to slip again at Dundalk and  Kilcullen
